Pumpkin Painting 2010
Our pumpkin painting event was a huge success!
It was held on Sunday, October 24th 2010 at the
Ramsey Farmers Market. 300 pumpkins were
donated by the Matarrazzo and Bloominghill
farms. The pumpkins that were left over ended
up in great places like...Woodlands, Senior
Center, Woman's Club, Center for Food Action,
Daisy troop and we were able to give some back
to the farm. Total donations were...$325.00. All
of the money was donated to support JDRF.

Touch-a-Truck 2010
Our first Touch-A-Truck event was held at the Ramsey Farmers Market from 9 am
– 2:30 pm on Sunday, September 19th. We raised $710. Proceeds will support
Ramsey’s Emergency Services units including the fire department, rescue squad,
ambulance corps and police department. Visitors to the event were asked for a
suggested $5 donation (per family). Children – and a few adults – toured the
vehicles, were able to sit in the cars and trucks and even operated sirens and horns
to their hearts delight. Each organization had a table set up and volunteers available
to answer questions and interact with the public. The feedback during Touch-A-
Truck was incredibly positive. The experience gave kids a chance to see many
vehicles up close and also provided an opportunity to see the first responders and
those in uniform as individuals they could approach and trust. View YouTube video.
