New Jersey Junior Woman of the Year 2010
Nadine Pitcher
Nadine is the busy mother of two young children and works full time as a Certified Public Account.
She has been our Club Treasurer for the past four years overseeing the finances for our many events
and fundraisers. In addition, she has given much of her time compiling and filing our annual tax
returns. Even during her busy tax season at work, she continues to set aside time for Juniors and
prioritizes the needs and demands of our ever busy Club without complaint.  Over the past five years,
Nadine has been on the Casino Committee handling all of the finances for our largest annual Club
fundraiser, Casino Night. This year was especially challenging in that our Co-Chairwomen had moved
on from Juniors. When no one came forward to Chair the ever popular event, Nadine stepped up to the
plate as the Chairwoman.  Over a period of nine months, Nadine ran all of the Committee meetings,
secured the location and vendors, selected the new “star” theme, and oversaw every portion of the
delegated tasks including solicitations, food, brochures and ticket sales. Without Nadine and her ability
to enlist and excite others, we would not have been able to give $25k back to our community this
coming year.

From our Casino Night fundraising efforts, our Club supports the Ramsey Fine Arts Council. This past
year the town-wide Fourth of July celebration, “Red, White and Blues”, was sponsored by Juniors.
Nadine attended the many council organizational meetings and coordinated the day-long event in the
scorching summer heat. She managed the volunteers, directed the vendors and helped work our booth.

Not only is Nadine active in Juniors, she is a respected Brownie Leader for her daughter’s troop.
Nadine always makes time for friends and family. She opened her home up this past year to host as the
dessert home for our annual Progressive Dinner. This popular couples event was attended by over 40
people. Nadine was a gracious hostess and made everyone feel at ease. She is gracious, appreciative,
and shines no matter the event. She is a member whose spirit is strong, exemplary and very contagious!
Nadine Pitcher wholeheartedly exemplifies the true essence
of Junior Spirit. She is a natural leader, team player and
inspiration to all. Her smile is contagious, her heart giving,
and her enthusiasm and energy unending. Nadine exudes
confidence and helps others build confidence in themselves.
She has triumphed through roadblocks and has shown
tremendous strength and courage when others would have
given up. She always speaks kindly of others, is a good
listener, and a great sounding board as well.  Nadine wears
many hats and successfully manages to juggle all with ease.
