Relay For Life
On June 6th at Ramsey High School the Junior Woman's club participated in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. This was an overnight event that brings the community together in the fight against cancer! The Juniors team consisted of twelve members and was named "The Real Housewives of Ramsey." Relay teams took turns walking, running or strolling around the track all night. The Juniors surpassed their goal by earning almost $8,000. The event itself raised over $125,000.

The P.I.N.K. Ladies

	The annual Play for P.I.N.K. golf tournament and luncheon was held on Thursday, June 5th to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. P.I.N.K. stands for Prevention Immediate diagnosis New treatments and Knowledge. The Ramsey Juniors sponsored a hole at this event and several of our members attended to show support for this worthy cause.
A Successfull Book Sale to Benefit USO and Beyond
The Junior Woman's Club of Ramsey hosted a used book sale on Memorial Day 2008. The proceeds from this sale benefitted the United Service Organization (USO) to fund their United through Reading initiative and to aid in the purchase of telephone cards to be distributed to deployed U.S. military personnel. Approximately 900 books were collected, of that, 250 books were sold for a total of $600, to be given to the USO. The remainder of the books were distributed to help other organizations, such as Rolling Readers, a Senior Center in South Jersey and a small library in Maples, Maine.
